That's right, Greg. Fresh calipers probably should be included in my list.

Tony, that'll be fine, assuming you've got some other way to slow that car down.

Default PF Pads

Are you guys running the PF 97 or PF 90 pads?

I have run both and have found the PF 90 (lower number more agressive pad) is tough on rotors. Currently have PF 97 on '76 Targa and have run a few events with it and the pads / rotors look good. Some squeal on the street (coming to lights) but, not to harsh on the rotors (should probably swap out but...car doesn't get enough miles on it to really matter).

For you Suburban owners, PF makes a great pad (available at OG) for the pre 2000 suburbans with front disc and rear drum brakes. Will be switching soon b/c intermittent trailer brakes have created a slight glazing condition on my front OEM GM pads At least it did finally stop though!

I wonder if I throw the rig into a 4-wheel drift will the 8 tires scrub off enough speed... hmmmm.... and does the truck and the trailer have to apex the corner at the same time?

Jason, LOL! Just remember to give the trailer a passing signal! I'm running PF 97s. They started squeaking a little on Monday.

Bill, no need to be embarassed! You were driving the bejeezus outta the thing! And, of course, I replaced mine Friday!

I've been running PF 97s on my '72 for about 2 years now, thanks to the tip from OG racing. They do squeak, but they stop like mad compared to the stock pads. I've had more than 8 track days on them so far and they're still doing quite well. Last time I checked, my rotors were also in good condition. Then again, this is a track only car...

Default PF 97's rock.......so far

Holy sticker shock Batman! On Saturday during the ASG Tech session I went to OG Racing and picked up a full set of PF 97's for the VIR DE this weekend. $250 Now not only am I going to be House poor, (another story for later) but also Track poor.

Ted,

Once you've run turn 14A a couple times you'll consider it $250 well spent!

Ted, wait til you get a 993. A bad $.50 boot requires a $200 rear control arm (I need two now) and $150 alignment. OTOH, brakes are not all that bad. Oh yeah, I still have a Carrera that I have to feed cash like it's an unemployed teenager.

So Greg . . . . we'll need our brakes on that roller coaster of a turn

Ted: I am running Hawk SPs and 150 does both even with the monoblocks on the front, and they do stop the car.

And, uh, I recommend against rebuilding calipers at the track.
