I'll have my digital with me too - though my sunroof won't open. I'll fix that someday. Let's say 11:00 at that parking lot described above. (703) 298-1628 is my cell.

If I can get the day off, I'll meet you guys at 'the lot'. I'll bring my 35mm and monopod.

Can't go. I have to go to Christopher Newport U to rip the football coach a new orifice.

For those of you who are not going to S.P., is anyone interested in assisting with a brake swap on Saturday? I will be replacing the front and rear calipers, rear rotors and (hopefully) brake lines, so I will be ready for the next DE.

Unfortunately, I will not find out until tomorrow afternoon if I'll have the parts on Friday. They are on back-order right now

I live in Alexandria. I have a carport, but no lift.

I would be willing to drive to someone else's house, too, if that would be more central/ convenient for people.

Guys - thanks for bringing the cameras along. I'll gladly take any and all pictures you get of me on the track or in the pits (#881). Don't worry, I'm not expecting any glamour shots, just something for the scrapbook

I'm soooo screwed! My car is not gonna be ready tonight and so I won't have it for tomorrow. I took it in to have the mixture checked and turned out my AFM was shot. New one just got installed and they still can't lean it out without the hydrocarbons going through the roof. Now they're doing a leakdown and here it is 10 min. before they close for the weekend. No way I'll have my 911 tonight. If folks are still going, I'll drive my truck to the meeting spot and would love to ride with someone. Somehow, the prospect of driving my Mazda truck to SP with other 911's doesn't really excite me. I'm soooo bummed.

Richard,

I'll probably go and Anne may come as well. We'll both be Porscheless but I'm sure we'll get fill when we get there. If Tony's there, ask him if he can take you out during an instructors session. I'll meet everyone at the lot at 11:00. I'll bring the camera, tie down and brake lines for you. If I can't make it, I'll give you a call.

What a day!!!

My son Matt and I went to Summit Point to watch everyone sling their cars 'round the track today. I live vicariously through the rest of you!!

Anyway we were there between 12:30 and 2pm sitting in the bleachers at the last turn before the paddock and took lots of digital pics and some 15 second .mpg video clips.

What are some of the numbers of the cars you were driving? If I have pictures of your cars, I'll try to post 'em.

Keith

Hey, It was great to see you guys out at SP today. We had terrific weather and everybody had some good runs to talk about. Tony, Doug and myself met before dawn at the toll booth, and with Tony running point we managed to evade law enforcement all the way to SP. We appreciated seeing our fellow Dorkiphus Porschephiles who turned out to enjoy the day with us.

Keith, I'm glad you and your son made it. Sorry we didn't meet. We'll of course be eager to see your pics. I'm in No. 904, white Carrera with blue tape on the headlights. Tony, in the more advanced white group, is easy to spot: 999 with the red and yellow front hood. Doug's blue SC with yellow tape was in the green group with me. I think he posted his number here earlier -- 808, or something close to that as I recall.

We'll be up before the sun again Sunday ready for more.

- Bill
