But then you're forced to paddock with the Boxster boys.

Why?
For him - he wanted a turbo but this car is almost too nice to DE. But its older than I think he would want. What I like about the Slant nose is that its different and turns heads.
For me - I am in the white group with a normal aspirated car. The power in the Turbo scares me, its too much power for me to handle. I pretty much do all my own work and his car would be a challenge plus if its not fixable, the car could still be parted to get the money back out of it.

Alex,

Sorry I have been swamped, I started building two cars last week and two jobs and a family kill all my time.

With the current projects on my plate, I don't have the bandwidth to buy your car right now. It would end up sitting around.

We can talk about your options to get your car fixed. We can source you a replacement motor 996 3.4 or an upgrade to a 996 3.6 (like on my old car that Trak Ratt now owns). We even have a Cayman S 3.4 motor inhouse getting rebuilt that can be used for your car. (Same process at the 996 3.6).

The GT3 powerplant is going to be a significant expense over any other option. The renegade V8 is another animal altogether.

I would have you speak with my business partner about those options (Scott runs that part of the business). He is on vacation until the end of next week. I can have him call you as soon as he gets back.

RadioMan:
You should contact this guy about his engine. I posted the link to your thread over there as well.

Bummer. If I'd been his instructor, I'd likely be dead or brain damaged.

Post #13 on the first page has as an avitar and Auto Red Bug. I have one of those!! 1925, in need of serious restoration (which it's going to get, someday).

I was thinking the same thing, would be a good candidate. However, not for me LOL.
