Yep.... lucky son of gun. We brought it back to life from a near death experience. http://www.dorkiphus.net/porsche/sho...ight=ferdinand

He does have a learner's permit.....as long as he fulfills the requirements of his contract he has with his parents. Something I wrote up the day he got the permit. I can share if anyone else wants to see it.

Little bugger also has access to a N/A track/autocross car that I bought for him to learn on. Life is good....

Update: I ran a Carfax on the car before I purchased which found 4 whole records. Since then I've begun piecing the cars history together. Very minimal documentation came with the car but I found a receipt with a different name than the previous owner and also noted that the owner's manual listed yet another name concluding that the car has had 3 previous owners, not 2. The receipt listed a phone number so I gave it a buzz and sure enough I found owner #2! He had the car for approximately three years, knew both the previous and the subsequent owners to him and confirmed that the car was always garaged during each of their ownerships. He provided small details about maintenance of the car and recalled that the car was never in a wreck that he knew of. He seemed pretty tickled that I gave him a call and asked about the car, how I came about purchasing and asked what kind of shape it is in today.

I was also able to source from ebay a January 1984 Car & Driver Magazine which named the vehicle one of the 10 best cars of the year. It will never be a true concourse car with 39K miles but its still a pretty cool car with a neat story in really great shape.
