Take all opinions on this stuff, including mine, with a big grain of salt. That said, stock market looks like it was due for a correction, and recent decline isn't big on a multi-year chart. And Intrade prediction market currently gives a 28% chance of recession next year (http://www.intrade.com/v4/markets/co...tractId=755863), suggesting the fiscal cliff situation will probably be adequately resolved.

People are going to take profits in 2012 in anticipation of higher income taxes, which means a sell-off in stocks that have appreciated. Having done that, they'll just jump back into the market with little net effect. I have never given nor received any stock market advice of any value. Buy residential real estate inside the Beltway.

I'm investing in a few pies tonight. Green pepper mushroom and onion. That's a good investment in any economy, especially with the 2 for 1 coupon. I may balance the portfolio with a few bread sticks too, we'll see. Get in before the market closes tonight, and then dump them in the morning. That's my plan.
