DR is right. Nothing was done that would effect the engine adversely. The adjustments make the engine work more efficiently. The OE program has emissions in mind, John did not . The LS1 has been modified with blowers and other mods and found to be reliable and not stressed up to 600 hp as long as you change rod bolts.

Okay, I can still give you a hard time about polluting the atmosphere since I'm still a Prius driver. Of course, when my (not-yet-purchsed) tow vehicle is my daily driver (soon) I'll have to STFU!

Did you see the TopGear episode where a BMW followed a Prius being driven around their test track?

Yes, that was a stitch. Of course, the Prius was being driven "flat out" (so to speak) and the BMW was just loafing along.
