Maybe but remember ~ that time a 931 was one of the quickest cars in this country! If you are going to compare performance you might want to compare technology too. What kind of computer were using in 1980? For that matter what kind of computer was NASA using in 1980?

NASA often used computers that would have been consider obsolete in other areas circumstances--the idea being that reliability/stability was more important than processing speed.
