that's a good enough intro for me.....

well, that and a semi-decent account of a driver's perspective on how the Lancer drives/handles. Have you tracked it?

didn't get to track it but got a good enough feel. It is a nice track car.. but it wasn't for me. I hated the multitudes of ricers trying to race, the cops attention.. etc.

The Evo feels pretty quick, weak on low rpms feels like a regular car but when you push, you hear all the internals.. quite a change from my M3. Handling is nice with the AWD and the light feel of it. With snow tires, on the snow i was driving fast everywhere coz of the phenomenal grip... you feel so in control. amazing.

It wasn't a car for me at the time.. but would make a great track car. Didn't get to track it coz I owned it on the winter months and got rid of it quickly. But what I do remember distinctly was how little I spent for such a performance bargain. With the M3 on the track I was worried about crashing it.. with the Evo everywhere I went I just didn't worry. Even in bad parking lots.

Here's detailed accounts of incidents (cops, snow, etc.): http://www.karljay.com/cars/gallery/index.php#evo

Ummmmm, yeeah......I don't think so......you haven't seen mockery until you've read one of my threads. It's like I got a squirt gun and everyone's aiming at me with RPG's. But it's all good, they don't call me the Brown Rambo for nothin.

CJ, it was good to meet you on the fun run. I followed you out in the black Boxster. Hope to see you around, next time I'll take my 944.

Talking An Introduction... finally. oh and pictures...

I've been lurking around here for a while and I figured it was about time I should introduce myself. My car is a 1993 RS America in Polar Silver with black cloth and gurads red seat belts/door pull tabs. It came with sunroof, LSD, A/C, and factory rolled fender lips. The POs added a radio, performance, chip, RH 3.6 3 piece wheels, and it has been lowered to ROW sport ride height (I think using Eibach springs). It came with a few extra goodies, such as the original suspension, wheels, radio blank plate, stock chip, and even the window sticker. And now for the Porsche porn...
