I thought it was just a tall 944.....

I love Charlie's work area at Intersport. The more you look the more you see.

awesome progress, ryan!

hey, sorry if i missed somewhere on here but...did you/are you going to address the possible oil starvation issues of the 997 (i.e. with an acusump, deeper oil pan, etc)? just curious since i'm sure you'll be hitting higher G's in the turns than i do, with your more aggressive suspension, hoosiers, etc...

Not allowed under stock rules. Can add baffles to stock pan only

Ryan, you can't add an accusump? Interesting.

Does not say specifically you can add in stock class (like it does, say in SPB), so can't do it. Only 2 rules in stock pertaining to oil are:

J. Oil coolers are free.
K. Baffling of stock dry sump oil tanks or wet sump engine oil pans to prevent oil starvation is permitted.

That's strange. Most of the 944's racing in the old I class (now B) had Accusumps installed back in the day. I'd email on of the scrutineers for confirmation since it's function is to protect the engine.

Never seen a car dq'd or snagged at tech for an accusump. No performance advantage. I'm not personally convinced that they work to solve the specific #2 bearing issue in the 944, but that's a separate issue.
