You really don't need all that motor in a pretty convertible. Who needs all that maintenance?. I've got a nice, basic 2.5L, 150 HP screamer with ALL maintenance current. We'll just swap them at Steve's house.

Default New Member / 928 owner

Hi just wanted to introduce myself.

I am the new owner of a 86.5 928, Hopefully I can learn some things, make some new friends, and find someone that may have an idea of the history of my car.

I got it locally last year, and im sure it will be a labor of love. Anyway, here is a pic of old girl.

Welcome aboard!

I've often considered looking for a 928. I love that Porsche V8 sound....But then I come to my senses!!!

I already have a labor of love....and two would be way too much.

Good luck with the car. I'm sure there are other 928 owners on this board who can give you some sound advice.

Cheers!

Jim

Welcome to dorkiland. Yes, there are other 928 owners here, plus some knowledgeable amateur and independent professional mechanics. Join PCA/Potomac to get their monthly magazine and come to Potomac's events beginning with monthly breakfasts first Saturday (Va.) and third Saturday (Md.) of each month. Info on their website www.pcapotomac.org

Welcome. I had an 85 928S for several years. Best car I ever had. I would still have it except I also had 2 1/2 911s and the 928 added a level of difficulty, manuals, tools and patience I decided to escape from. Good luck.
