Oh also: they NEED to get rid of that 100kg/hr fuel use requirement. Complete BS.

100kg of fuel per race I get, but to literally everyone outside F1 engineering, 100kg/hr means absolutely nothing.

I don't care as much about the max fuel use as the rate limiter. If a driver has conserved fuel well, why not let him rev the engine up?

Actually turned out to be a pretty good race after all. Watched on Univision again - less BS spin doctoring. Clearly the fossils have been told that they will be fired if they ever say anything less than chipper about F1 and apparently they need the money. Univision commentators have a sense of humor and were bitching about the fuel rate limitations!

Great to see the crowd cheer Massa. Less great to see a wasted Piquet hit on Hamilton's girlfriend with the mic on.

Q: Hamilton, I have been for a long time very jealous of you - not only of your driving but also of your old girlfriend. Where is Nicole?
Lewis Hamilton: …She's at home.

That was awkward

Agree on your point about 1 sided coverage. How is every track fantastic, epic, most challenging to drive... ?

Thankfully there was some good racing in the pack, pretty boring for most to watch the same 2 cars at the front every race.

Some of the racing action was fun to watch. Nico drives likes he's got a burr up his arse. I think he's matured quite a bit this season, and isn't making some of the impatient mistakes he made earlier in the year. And I think Hammy has a bit more to show, but has gotten conservative in his quest for the season trophy. Towards the end he didn't take the fight to Nico like I thought he could have. Of course that off-course excursion before his last pit stop probably cost him the win. He safely took the 2nd place points......versus anything less. Even at the Abu Dabi double-points closer, he now has enough points that a Nico-Hammy finish still earns him top season finish.

The podium interviews were hysterical. Nelson Piquet should relinquish the microphone, and sit on his stool at the bar. Not only did Piquet hit on Hammy's girlfriend, and didn't ask him any questions about the race, but after interviewing 3rd Place Massa, instead of going back to the winner for final comments, he went back to Hammy instead to actually ask him some racing questions. And then when everyone left the podium stand, it looked like Nico was puzzled and wondering what the hell just happened.

Yeah, this wasn't the first time they have had horrid post-race interviewers. What Piquet had in driving talent way-back-when, he certainly never seemed to have in on-camera capability.

*Shudder* it was so awkward watching him mention Hami's g/f (just looked it up -- apparently they're back on...whew right?). Funniest moment came when Hamilton just grabbed Piquet's shoulder and turned him around as if to say "Ok you're done. Go talk to someone else".
