It's gonna be a shame to see that hood all covered with rock chips once you start hitting the track!

I'll watch it for you when you go on vacation. You know that it shouldn't sit real long (less than a week) w/o being driven. I promise to be carefull and wear a helmet. Ooops! Cheers, Rich

Welcome!
Steve, who you trying to kid? Half that stuff is on your Christmas list!!

Nice ride! I’m not familiar with the “special wishes” version but the tag and front valance says a lot if installed by those people?

Paul:

Welcome to the board!

If you like off colored jokes, wierd personalities, reckless disregard for speed limits [business for Dan], tracking your car and MOST important of all, WRENCHING on your own car [be it a lowly oil change], ... you have found the right place.

Lots of jokesters here .... take it all in with a grain of salt.

BTW ... does that 3.3L thing have pushrods and will it fit in a '62 356?

Jase

My father used to tell me that you can get anything into anything… you just have to get it going fast enough! He proved this once by getting the front end of his then new ’63 Mercury Marauder into the back seat of a ’59 Beatle!! He usually loved object lesson but failed to see the irony when I pointed it out to hm!!! The Turbo looks fast...

Guys, it is all good from this perspective. But just so you know, cheese is for Nachos. I heard that once from Armando.

I bought my car because I love to turn the wrench. I do it to all of my vehicles. Not out of necessity, but out of pride. You can learn a lot out of turning a wrench.

As for the 3.3l thing fitting into a 356, get out the tourch. Maybe we can do a test fit.

As for the "Special Wishes". That means custom ride built by Porsche and other companies, Ruf and Andial in particular. The car was tricked out in Germany and had all of the go fast parts for the time. What am I talking about, it still is gofast. Hench the name Sofast. Who's got some nachos ready....

Simply put: Open your wallet and get your dream! It was Porsche's way of grabbing some cash for special order cars. From as simple as a "paint to match lipstick color" to full leather (including guages and stalks etc) to a cabriolet hard top to whatever you could think up next. Ahhh the "go go 80's"
