Jeez, where the hell have you been boy-o??? What you join the peace corps or go on a "mission?" It's what almost 2 years? Did you finally sober up enough to find your way back?

Sorry to hear you won't make the turkey bowl, but when will the build be done? And the more important question is when will the coming out party be so you can start an eye orgy under the lift?

Edit: pretty much repeated what Eric S said... Anyway hope that everyone has a happy Turkey day.-Paul
The founders of Moton left and started a new company called... Motion Control Suspension. Jerome Van Gool (founder of JRZ) and founder of Moton started MCS with Lex Carlson former Moton co founder. Something to think about. Quote:

Is Jerome Van Gool kind of like the Jere Redding of dampers? Back in the 70s Redding kept getting divorced and the ex got his shampoo company (or so I heard) and we ended up with Jheri Redding, Redken, Jhirmack, and Nexxus (he had 4 wives).

Progress Report: Still waiting on Motons, Guard Diff, and M&M Exhaust. So Charlie hasn't started on anything. In the mean time I've been busy and done the following (long post):
Painted Rollbar: All complete except door bars. Waiting to paint those until I finish up everything else (to minimize scratches.) Used Rustoleum Hammered Black paint. Stuff is great and easy to apply. Just used a roller and foam brush…no worries of overspray. Gives a textured/powdercoated look. Also since finish isn't completely smooth or a solid color, very easy to touch up and not see paint lines!

Fire System: Went with the SPA AFFF Electronic system (same as in cup cars.) Ran two spray nozzles to the drivers knee area (same location as a cup), and one to the engine compartment. Would have like to do 2 or 3 nozzles to the engine, but finding a good place to mount the additional nozzles proved difficult. I'll ask Charlie when he gets the car, and it's easy enough to tee off the current rear nozzle and add another. To clamp the tubing, bought brake line clips which worked great. Fire buttons located on dash and outside Hood Area. Modified the lower center dash and mounted the control unit there. Still need to mount the bottle and plumb into it.

Seats and Harnesses: Used Sparco sliders and side mounts, with BK 997 mount adapters. Would like the driver seat to be lower by an inch. But to do that would either require no sliders or hacking up the stock mount locations and welding something in. Seat slides smoothly and is solid. Last car I had custom rails, sliding action sucked, so probably going to leave it as is.
Steering Wheel/Hub/Quick Release: Originally went with Sparco adapter, but between that and the quick release, the steering wheel was practically in my lap. (BTW, if you’re looking for a quick release, I recommend the Rothsport Racing one. Super easy to align wheel for quick insertion, and has full ring behind the wheel for easy release.) Ended up getting a short boss NRG hub instead, so if anyone is looking for a Sparco/Momo adapter I got a brand new one for sale.

Electronics: Spent a ton of time doing electronic hookup since I was adding an AIM MXL Pista, Replay Camera/hardwire, Cool Shirt, and Motorola CM200 radio.
AIM MXL: Mounted it to the plastic housing on the steering column. At first didn’t fit well as the bolts kept hitting all the plastic junk underneath the housing. Then realized I could get rid of the clockspring, as I no longer had an airbag or horn. Once that was removed, fit perfectly. Nice thing about AIM is you can hook directly to the ECU on newer cars. Gets all kinds of info...RPM, Speed, gear, each wheel spin, steering angle, etc. Most people run 2 wires back to the ECU on the rear deck lid. Read on rlisp about how a guy hooked it up by the fuse panel in the driver’s footwell. Was going to do it there, but while reading the wiring diagrams, found CAN wires going into the NAV system. Ended up running a short wire from the AIM to the NAV location, plus got power of the NAV too! For the electrical hookups for all the stuff I added, basically used wires from the NAV System area. Even though I twisted, soldered, cable wrapped and heatshrunk all the wires, if anything goes awry , I only have to look in one area instead of having splices all over the place.
