One of my cousins was a Navy "mustang", that is he went from enlisted to officer. I attended his commissioning ceremony at the Pentagon, and his commissioning officer was none other than Admiral Borda, the only person to go from enlisted to CNO. Of course, Borda's story took a dive and came to a sad end. My cousin has since retired and still lives near Pax River.
Anyway, to tie into the post above, my cousin's son graduated from VMI and was assigned to jets. He just got his wings and will be flying F-18's. I will try to post a couple of his in flight photos. Very cool!

Totally worth sharing, that was awesome Harry. I thought you were AF though?
Have a couple friends who are jet pilots with the AF, and another who is with jets for the Navy. So incredibly badass...I would give my firstborn for a ride in a fighter jet. Oh -- why didn't the video show the landing? That's one of the coolest parts!!
