Some fail from the SCCA 12 Hour race.
Friday practice:    Deer strike on front straight after the hosed off the intestines:  Fueling fail. This was a pretty big fire, but the car was checked and went back out into the race:

Great pictures Steve. Thanks for all your help. Did you get any pics of the RP Miata that lost it coming out of 10? Looked like a parts car at about 3am, but my judgment was very impaired by that time!

I heard that it went off in turn 1, hit a tree, then the tree fell on the car
 . At that point the 09 Miata was our closest competitor.

Interesting post script to the 12 Hour… went to Riesentoter’s Monday DE. First thing they had to do was close the toilets by the class rooms… seems the SCCA guys filled the system to capacity and the first time someone flushed a toilet the excess started boiling up through the floor drain! The track maintenance crew were not happy.
