Default Is this too bling?

Or just an excuse to brag?

My son Robbie's NCAA Championship ring:

FYI--I finally got around to posting some pics from 3/20 in the targa911man gallery.

Both, but it's not like ice is a bad thing.
Congrats Dan! You must be one proud dad right now.

Congrats, Dan. Makes all those years of cold Satuurdays standing on the sidelines as a worried parent seem sweeter, I'm sure.

Impressive - congrats to father and son.
When I saw your boy over here, he looked like he could happily pick the 911 up while we worked underneath. Being part of a winning team is a great start in life, so sit back and get ready to enjoy the rest!

Thanks guys. We actually are (safe)keeping it at home. There's a couple of social things he's going to wear it to when he gets back from school and then it goes in the safe deposit box except for special events. I've seen too many championship rings on ebay. They also produced an optional championship watch which we got him for his birthday which he can wear on a daily basis. The watches are not individualized so they were inexpensive. We'll prbably get it engraved.
He keeps making a liar out of me. When he won his first championship in youth football I told him to appreciate it because they don't come often. I was on my first championship team in little league and didn't win another until 30 years later. He's been playing football 10 years and has 4 local league championships, a state championship, and now a national championship. And I was a much better athlete than he is, just smaller. Oh, the humanity!

Dan, doesn't that ring go on a pinky? Where's the matching bracelet?

They didn't offer a matching bracelet. or I'm sure we would have gotten it. That is not a pinky ring. The face is about 3/4 inch square. It fits Robbie's ring finger tightly, is too big for even my middle finger.
