possibly heading back to the East Coast - job search
Life has been too crazy to visit you guys here in Dorki land. I have been thinking about a change of scenery. After 4 months of triple digits, cooler weather sounds nice too. Thought maybe someone may have seen a job for me. Please keep your eyes open.
I am looking for a scientist or technical advisor position. I have 8 years experience in nanotechnology, materials science and synthetic chemistry. I have worked with quantum dots, nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, chemical sensors and know just about every characterization technique there is. Currently running multiple SBIR programs as a PI. Thanks for the help. I don't have time to always check the board but PMs and emails go right through. Thanks for the help. Jamie

Jamie, I talked to my freind Ed, (A scientist) about this. (knowing that I have no idea what your are talking about and he would.) It turns out that I learned a little in the process.
Although he doesn't know of any companies in the area, he said it is or will be a hot area in years to come. He also herd that Maryland is working on trying to get companies in your feild to relocate to this area. He thought you might contact the MD. Dept of Economic Development who are working on these efforts to find out who they are talking to and who they might have enticed to come to Md. They probably also have a list of compaines that are already here that you should call on. Hope this helps. I was really hoping to make a personal contact for you. But Ed's focus is elsewhere. Try SAIC, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, NIST and Naval Research Lab (NRL). Each has a website with some job listings. I have contacts at each and might be able to assist in getting a resume to the right person.
