Default Air cond. in a 914?

914ers out there: I bought a set of used AC parts off eBay, want to see another 914 w/air as model for my installation. Anyone out there with one? Feel free to get me on the phone: Chris at 703-379-6085, email at carolusandhager@yahoo.com .

Try 914club.com you'd have better luck there. Only person close to having AC in thier 914 was Jim McCloud, he had a hacked up 914 he sold long ago, don't think it had any AC parts left though.

914's come with "AC".. windows down, roof off. I wish I could be more helpful than sarcastic, but I've only seen 2-3 914's with ac and neither of them were very effective units. Good luck with your project/install and let us know how it works! I second the 914club as a valuable resource!

Shoot me an e-mail. I installed A/C in my 914 with a 2.0L type 4 engine and also in my SIX

Send me some photos of what you have and I can try to help ya along.

You will lose some HP when the compressor is runing. I just turn the A/C off if I feel like getting into her, once you done switch it back on.

kerrys914@yahoo.com

Cheers

chris, a/c was dealer installed option and the install, as jmuriz says, is a wonder to behold. before you start, make sure you have all the parts. the engine tin has to be trimmed and the engine shelf does too. you have to remove the engine (don't have to but you'd save time) to install the pulley behind the fan. like i told you about my previous car, i removed the a/c. 2-55 is more sporting with a 914.
