My brother and I took my car to the Old Town Cruise Night in Auburn and had a great time. I had the only Porsche. Probably 200 Hot Rods. A lot of people stopped to talk about my Six. The '69 Z-28 was perfect. I had a Lemans Blue/white stripe original '69 Z-28 - should have never sold that.

The Diablo Region PCA knows how to host a car show. This is their annual Wash 'n Shine and it gets bigger every year. Good food, music (too loud for my old ears) and just great people. Easily 150+ Porsches attended.

Sorry, that is a '70 914-6 car with a race heritage owned by a wonderful gentleman. We see him at a lot of events and he drives the car. I was amazed I got any photos as we were busy talking and walking the whole day.

So, a while ago, we raised my car about 5/8" as I felt it was low. Then life got in the way and I forgot to take it and get re alined. I just took it to Hewitt's Alinement Service in Stockton. Old school shop that works on a lot of nice old cars. They were recommended by a friend who has been using them for a very long time on his Porsches.

I went in and met Tony, the owner and told him the car felt a bit "squirmy" on the road, like it was nervous. Their mechanic, Stewart, handled the job and was very methodical, checking and setting everything front and rear. Took him about 1.5 hours. He is a 4th generation mechanic in his family and their top guy.

I took it for a ride and it was a dramatic change. The car just tracks straight and seems well planted now. My brother noticed the difference from the passenger seat immediately. Needless to say, I am very happy with their work.

I was invited to attend the Sacramento Region PCA Concours at the new (1 year old) Porsche dealership this coming Sunday. I thought it would be a great time to check out the dealership. So I began the process of cleaning my car so it can be judged. We have about 18K miles on it since we returned it to the road. It is driven, not a trailer queen.
