Default Lightweight sport bucket question

Has anyone put the aftermarket risers in their car with sport buckets? Did they make a huge difference? I sat in them yesterday and they were pretty uncomfortable. I’ve been told the risers make all the difference. Is there anyone in the Loudoun county area that has them that I can sit in your car?

I had them on 987/997 buckets and they did make a pretty significant difference for me. The biggest issue they solved was headroom - they lowered the seat about .75". The second thing they can do is add some "tilt" to the seat, which I found comfortable, but not everyone does.

Unfortunately the car and seats I'm speaking of have been sold, so I can't offer a test fitting. But I'd be curious to hear what you found uncomfortable about the seats. Too upright? Tight in the waist/hips? Shoulders "pushed forward" by the bolsters?

Too hunched over forward.

The ability to tilt will help you there. I used Cantrell's brackets, which offered 0.75" (or 1.5") tilt front to back. 0.75" got rid of the feeling of "leaning forward" without too much recline.

I had them in my 996, 997, 981, 991 and 718 yes I like them

The Euro version of the 991 seats are heated, unfortunately NLA

Brackets are adjustable. What car are you thinking about putting them in.

You are welcome to sample them in my 996 when you come to the beach

Had them in both my 981 and 718 RS

Would not buy one without them

To help with the hunched feeling - roll up a couple of microfiber towels (or a spare nomex longjohns) and stick it behind the removable center section of the Sport Buckets. This greatly helps with the lack of lumbar support.

I have the tiltback risers in my garage to install soon as well.
