Hey everyone.

I am probably picking up Charlie's car this weekend on the 12th and driving down to NC.

Should I bring snow chains?

Figure's it hasn't snowed all winter until now

FWIW, I'll be at VIR this weekend and my wife is coming down to see me on Saturday. She was going to rent a car, but if you'd like she'll gladly drive Charlie's targa down.

Thats great news John, nah forget about the snow chains, just pick up some snow tires before heading back to NC. When you get there put them on ebay since you probably will never need them again. Good luck, and have a safe trip to NC, there's alot of emotional attachment with Charlies car. Keep us updated with your plans/mods/upgrades for the targa.

Thanks Ya'll

My plans are to head over to Autozone and install some Red Rice Boy seats, Neon Chassis lights and some 25" Bling Bling Spinners

Back to reality...

DOn;t worry about the car.
It will be well taken care of.
My olderbrother has been involcved with Porsches for about 30 years and has rebuilt so many motors in the past that he can alomst do it blindfolded.
Has all the workshop manual and tools.

He dropped out of the Porsche busness due to too much stress and got into eletrcial and computer engineering when he lived in NM.
He now has a 89 Carrera Coupe along with a 87 TVR (Wedge), 52 Mercedes 220, 84 GTI (Now having aTD motor installed), 82 Mercedes 300CD, 99 1/2 Jetta TDI and a small 4WD Subaru.
His wife drives the Carrera most of the time but she misses her old 2 liter 914 (Nailed head on by a drink in Santa Fe back in 1993 )

He used to have a track 69 911, 1970 914-6(Wrecked 4 hours out of the paint shop by an old lady running a light) and a 77 911 Targa Hates 2.7's after that car)

Remeber what I told you...if you only do it once, take that car out on the track. You will learn a ton about it and the car will thank you!

Thanks everyone.

I postponed thepick up for next weekend.
Charlie is tied up at school with studying this weekend and the weather gods are not in a favorable mood.

John came and picked up the Targa today. It was sad to see her leave, but she's in good hands.

Take care of her, John.
