Default HeroFest Help

Hi all. This is a bit if a random request, but I'm passing it along for a friend. Thanks for any info you can provide. See pasted message below:

Okay, autocross friends. I have a favor to ask.

A guy I met at Boxerfest this past weekend is putting on Herofest at Ripken Stadium the first week of October. He is part of StreetHeroes Frontline, a legit non-profit bringing awareness to suicide prevention and PTSD in veterans and first responders.

Part of Herofest is supposed to be an autocross, and Brett was working with Brandywine Autocross Club, but over the last month, they have completely ghosted him. He can see that they've read messages sent via Facebook, yet they won't respond to email or phone.

Brett needs a reliable group of people to put on this autocross. I know Jon Krolewicz has done similar events in the past, and I know that I know people who might even be able to reach out to BMC folks and ask "WTF is wrong with you?"

If you can help out (or know someone who can), please let me know and I will put you in contact with Brett. Thank you!!!

I looked at their website, and there is no indication that they are a 501(c)(3). Their website's "Donate" page is a bunch of placeholder text from the webpage template. The Donate button in the upper right is a link to a Venmo page with no documentation of their actual charity status.

No listing on Charity Navigator.

While the cause they appear to support is a good one - there are also cases where people take advantage of peoples' patriotism or support for first responders to enrich themselves. Even the Wounded Warrior Project has had its troubles:

As stated, I'm just passing info along from an autocrosser I know, and I know is a person of integrity. I know nothing of the charity or the event.
