Default WTB: 1989 944 S2 front license plate holder

We are looking for a front license plate holder for our latest project a 1989 944 S2

Anyone have an extra laying around?

Preferably near Bethesda.

For reference here is a picture of what we are looking for:

Karl, My problem with the OEM plate holder is that it blocked the tow hook hole. I would recommend looking at a holder that screws into the tow hook hole, to facilitate swapping at the track.

Also note that the early 944's (your picture is one) did not have a tow hook hole, although a kit was available (I had installed on the 1985 944 that I used to own). The 944S2 has the tow hook as OEM. I believe the tag brackets were installed by the dealership.

This is a pricey, but well made example. There are others.

Hey Tony,

Using the asymmetrical license plate bracket pictured in post one above and mounted correctly with the shorter end up there is room for both.

Appreciate the heads up and please keep the advice coming as we work on this project for the boy.

Thank you John, picked the bracket up today and it will work perfectly. There is room for the front license plate and the tow hook

Jazz, any chance of adding additional SMILEYS to the board, like thumbs up, clap hands, thumbs down, etc.?

Wow--great thread hijack Tony!

So Jazz, how about adding the animated "eating popcorn" one, too?
