Default Wanted - 80s 911 Sport seats

Looking to replace the standard seats in my 83 SC targa with sport seats. Any condition or color is OK as I will most likely get them reupholstered in the future if needed. Thanks.

Default Not all sport seats are created equal

IMHO the 1980-84 Sport Seats are the most comfortable.

They also happen to be the lightest weight of the three different types that were used in the 80’s

I cannot claim credit for the illustration but it tells the story.

Appreciate the info and input, as well as the comparison graphic. I have all manual ones currently and they are comfortable, but I was given advice from another SC owner with sport seats to just go with those. I did get a chance to sit in them as well and they def seem like a solid upgrade.

Completely agree. I had these in my ‘82 SC and did a >10,000 road trip right after buying the car. Drove multiple 10+ hour days and was totally comfortable.

Ben lives in Cleveland, and comes home pretty frequently. But those look pretty rough for the price (to me)

Agreed. I don't mind a project but at that price, I will keep looking.

Aren't sport seats like $3k+ in good shape? $600 seems fair for a set of cores.

X2 What he said.

That is a good price for cores but finding the missing plastic parts would be a challenge.

Yeah that's my concern, maybe I should clarify my idea of a "project" vs. others. Sourcing all the smaller bits may be a challenge. I will continue my search and if anyone knows of anything let me know. - Thanks
