I don't understand the dilemma. The company shipped you two when you ordered and paid for one. Contact them and ask how to return the second set. It's the right thing to do and that is all there is to it. People make mistakes. I also do not understand the extreme rush. Email/call and then wait. If no answer in a week's time, call and email again.

I had to think about that for a second. Being billed or charged or not for an unordered item changes little. In all cases under the above you are not obligated to notify the shipper, return or pay for the items in question.

If that happened to me I think I'd make an honest effort to let Vertex know the order was sent incorrectly. Maybe that's me being too scared of what Karma can do to you. From a retailer stand point, I've seen all too many times where someone thought they were getting over on my store only to have learned that Karma eventually caught up with them and that person really paid through the ass in some other area of their life.

If Vertex gets back to you and insists on you paying them for the extra set of brake pads, reach out to me, I'll take the brake pads and pay Vertex directly for the brake pads.

No amount of Karma can make up for the Ex-wife. The song Evil Woman comes to mind.

I put the new pads on this weekend. Took 2 hrs for the first side. Less than 45 mins for the second side. Learned a couple tricks to the trade in the process.

I used what looked like the better of the two sets of pads they sent me. The one I used had half inch of more material. The other set is in a box with a shipping label Vertex emailed me. I still need to drop it off at the UPS store.

I think there would have been good karma either way, giving away what I could have kept.
