Did battle with the Porsche finally got everything disconnected. Any tricks to the trade for getting the old lines out and the new ones in? I am referring to the lines that connect the fuel filter to the fuel rails on the top of the engine. Do they come out the back or the front?
Figured I would ask before I go another round. Thanks Chris 89 Carrera These are what I am referring to

Do they come out and go in from the back or the front. About a million things in the way either way. Anyone done this project?

You probably don't want to hear this but you will need to remove almost everything on top. That leaves all the hoses exposed and you have access to the nuts to tighten the new hoses with confidence.

Thanks,
Got it done but what a knuckle busting pain in the ass. Have at least a dozen small cuts on my hands and wrists. Shocked it started right up after. Thought for sure i would have broken a wire or something while wrestling the old lines out and the new ones in. The old lines were only 5 years old. Hopefully these last longer. Would have saved hours knowing the bracket in the middle back has an allen screw holding it on. Tried in vane to get the nut off. Here's a pic of the old lines. I believe they are compatible with today's fuels. And yes I cut them to help get them out. Chris

Easy Peasy with engine out! Sound like you could have saved time too. Plus lots of other things “while in there”

Thought about doing it with the engine out about half way through the project. It was the while its out project cost road i did not want to go down. Clutch was the first that came to mind as it's still original. Have a wish list a mile long.

Common practice used to be a 'partial drop', really just lower it a few inches. Frees up a ton of space.
