When we had our addition built, the contractor promised it would be done by Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, we didn't pin him down as to which Thanksgiving.... Could be momentarily. Depends on how things progress....

FWIW, our contractor for our remodel met his advertised schedule - but he was extremely well organized and I already knew that he came in on time on a much larger prior job (house addition).
Fast - Good - Cheap - pick two at most. ed

Well, this certainly isn't cheap! Especially since Management decided we really need new appliances, instead of just reusing the old ones as originally planned.
Hopefully we'll get the other two. A couple of day 3 pics (not much happened yesterday). It looks like they've finished, or mostly finished, the demolition. They also started wiring in the new lights and switches. The inspector is supposed to come tomorrow or Friday, I guess to ensure the house isn't going to collapse before they finish.

Bill, I'm sure you have this already figured out. Just in case here is contact info. for the gent who took care of us when we gutted out kitchen three yrs. ago. We went with all KitchenAid (DW, Dual Fuel Range, Fridge). They give a hard to argue with price for the package deal.

Thanks for the reference, Josh. However, we've already been working with ABW (different guy in their Rockville store). It looks like we're going to go with Bosch rather than KitchenAid. Not only did they give us a good price on everything, but Bosch also has a 12% rebate until mid-Sep.

Don't know whether you're considering an induction stove, but we put one in and love it - much better than the old coil-style electric stove we had. OTOH, if you had gas, keep it.
Only downside is jettisoning any non-ferrous cookware (won't work with induction). Also, we have a Bosch dishwasher - it's definitely quiet, but isn't quite as good at cleaning as the old-school 1980s GE it replaced. Also, for anyone else who might be looking at this thread for ideas: stay away from Samsung. ed
