Default Shop space for rent?

Long story short, clutch slave cylinder died on my 944S2 and I'm looking for garage space to do the work. I live in the Old Town area, so space to work on the car is limited and it's currently sitting on a hill, so doing the work where it lies is not a viable option. I usually work on the car at a friend's garage, but with the car having to be towed to wherever I'll work on it, a single-car garage on a narrow street is not ideal. I've heard of companies that allow you to rent shop space, but can't find any that are local (within 100 miles of 22314 for my free AAA tow).

Since I don't post on here terribly often: I'm a long time lurker and provider of cheap and free parts to fellow Dorkis.

Should a Dorki offer up garage space, I can compensate with beer, District Taco, or bicycle maintenance.

Hmmm, the Baltimore area is within the 100-mile tow, so that's an option.

Ideally, this should be a 3-hour job, right? I've only worked on hydraulics once before, though. So I'd probably budget 5 hours to be safe. If there's time left over, I have a few other small jobs I can knock out (dist. cap & rotor, short throw shift linkage, install sound deadener/insulation around the shifter).

I thought clutch jobs on the 944's were a 12-16 hr job. I have a turbo and was quoted 18+ hours since the torque tube and rear transaxle had to come out (not first hand experience).

Clutch slave pays 1.3, welcome here if you are doing most of the work.

Thanks everyone! Cmartin, you are the closest to me, so I'll take you up on your offer. I will definitely do most, if not all, of the work. Always great to have someone there to make sure I don't screw anything up, though.
