Why? The factory manuals have been linked here for years. I've always found Haynes manuals to be...a poor choice.

I don't mind Haynes; I'll happily use both the factory and Haynes manuals.

And I have now purchased the used early Haynes manual I was seeking, so we can close the thread.

I agree on the Haynes manual. Have found bits of info in that which i didn't find in the service manual or the bigger bently book...

I too use a mix of factory and non factory. My German 1/2 likes the factory books but sometimes I need to help along the English 1/2 with some good ol' Murcan' explanations and picturz.

I found the Haynes manual to be more confusing than helpful. They include info for serveral years and models. That are often are not germain for a particular year.

That was one of the reasons I wanted a copy of the early version of the Haynes manual - at least it stops at 1975. That manual was superseded and the later Haynes version covers through to 1989 from memory.
