Ok, here's what I anticipate having Intersport do, other suggestions welcome.
Must do: Front calipers rebuild New front axle bearings New front rotors w/ correct spacers Probably just as bad: Inspect rear brakes New rear axle bearings Might as well while we're here: Check valve lash Re-torque head bolts After reassembling everything, I'm thinking what probably happened is that the passenger side hub nut was overtightened, crushing the bearing seal, and taking up what little clearance there was between the rotor and A-arm. Once the rotor started rubbing, it roasted the pad and seized the caliper piston, and the pistons on the other side continued to grind the rotor against it every time the brakes were applied.

If the rear axle bearings are quiet, no need to replace them They are VERY robust. We had one making noise at Watkins Glen, and on the advice of 2 mechanics, drove the rest of the DE and then drove home on it with noise but no problems. Changed it at a Dorki's using his Sir Tools tool, a good deed I'm happy to pass on to you when you need your bearings changed (I now have his Sir Tools tool because I messed it up and bought him a new one - then I fixed the old kit and so now I have one, also).

Ahhhhhhh...The saga continues.
First off - thanks to everyone for pushing me to get it in to Intersport, and double thanks to whoever sent pics to Charlie and let him know it was coming. Once he figured out it was me, we went out and looked at the car. I knew there had been a minor front end hit that had bent up the front of the frunk and repaired, but had been led to believe it was minor and cosmetic. Charlie crawled under and in less than 5 seconds spotted front end damage indicating the entire front end had been pushed back about about inch. It'll need to go on a jig for straightening. My options, as I see them: 1) Ask the seller to return my money and delivery fee. 2) Ask the seller to return enough money to cover the cost of straightening the tub. 3) File suit if neither can be agreed to. 4) What to do about the shop that did the PPI? At a minimum I think I'm due to get the money I paid to have it inspected returned. I was dumb founded as to how an honest mechanic could've missed the brakes. But the body smells of collusion to defraud or other appropriate lawyer speak...) Pics to come when I get back home. (Yesterday was a fun back and forth to Vienna twice to bring the car to Charlie, take it back home to SoMD, defeated, come back up for the conference...) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

PPI shop missed everything and should be asked to refund. Was this a shop you picked? Hopefully it was not a shop that serviced the car for the previous Owner. The brake issue and especially the bent tub should have been picked up during a full PPI (in fact checking the tub was the very first thing Matt de Maria did when I brought a car to him for a PPI a few years back).
If it were me personally I would return the car tot he previous owner and get my money back. Straigtening a tub if a $7,500+ item when all is said and done. The motor needs to come out, suspension must be removed, etc., and who knows what body work will be needed once things are straightened. You have stumbled into the world of used track/ race cars. Sounds like the previous owner had the car fixed just enough to still use as a track car, although I am surprised it could be properly aligned with the tub that bent.

Be cool and calm and composed but direct and to the point that the car is not turn key and the PPI missed by a mile. Get the info on what you can do before calling them with more than a calm warning shot. "Hey, just found out the tub is bent. How about we just unwind this deal before we need to hire outside council?" Again, depends on the details of the deal. Go after the Shop with all your power too. Again I don't know the terms of the deal you had with the PPI shop but for Fuchs sake this is just the kind of stuff that a PPI is for! To miss a bent tub is simply Negligent pure and simple. ^This!

I'd recommend a more subtle, indirect strategy and talk it out over some good mint chocolate chip and a chic flick...

I believe you can ask for everything but should be prepared to lose your delivery fee. PPI shop should absolutely refund the money and may be coerced to return the delivery fee (you might point them to the recent Rennlist posting on the totaled GT3RS and how these things can hurt a shop with Social Media) but expect to get back at least the full PPI fee. If I were the seller, I'd unwind the deal giving you all your money back for the sale, but would fight hard not to return the delivery costs and that may turn out to be your loss.
One question - is the tub damage all in front of the suspension? That could explain the ability to align, and might (I'm no expert - call Jack Ford at Europros to ask this question) allow repair without removing as many parts. PS: Martin - NICE!

Your Navy right? I would pursue the suggestions above but I would also be calling some of my SOF buddies in case all else fails. This obviously sucks and I hope it is resolved in a reasonable manner.
