That was the session where I got confused ... passed a sliver car and then couldn't shake it. Honking won't help you.

Had a fantastic weekend! Things started out a little slow in green but got better and better. From parade lap speed in the first session to students giving safe and early passing signals by the end of the DE with cars that were much more in control, you could see the outcome of great instruction throughout the weekend. I learned and was able to try a few new things thanks to fantastic instruction from Scott. I looked at some video and my fastest lap had some mistakes that I'll fix next time out and continue the learning so I can increase my consistency.

I know Colleen had a blast too and big thanks to Mike for all the help and lessons taught.

We'll see you guys at Pittrace.

Also, Pat committed to club racing eventually. I'll have to buy something I guess. ☠️

Thanks to Ed for the ride. I learned GT4s are really fun...lol. Who knew?

I think I broke my horn waiting for your point. You need data acquisition to evaluate the speed of your signals.

Ok, the horn blowing was funny and the time it took to get the pass

Although I did a ride along in black and saw VaS and he was cooking...

Default Guys...where's the April DE thread?

What a remarkable weekend. First off thanks to all of the CIs, the DE Chairs, and all of the Instructors who came out and endured the monsoon conditions to mentor the Instructor Candidates. Its a huge effort but very much appreciated. also thanks to the workers on the grid and on track for enduring the tough conditions - without you we would have been stuck in the classroom all day!

I was so thrilled at the end of the day to be part of this amazing group of new Instructors. Many of us have been a close group of friends over the past several years and there is nothing more satisfying than being able to share our success together.

Saturday was a big day for me working with my first student - Alan in his Subaru BRZ. A great drover who listened well and was able to quickly implement the tutelage I provided. Nothing could have been more satisfying than seeing the s*** eating grin on his face after our second session. Congratulations to him for his promotion into White - I know he is going to continue to progress. I also had a super fun time in the right seat with John Sullivan - who knew that a car could pick up 15mph between Turn 7 and 8!

Sunday was another great day riding along with many new Instructors including SVG and KennyD. I also had company in Carmine from both of them as well as Stache and Steve Bobbit. Great fun to share experiences with them in the car together.

Finally - many of you asked how Carmine was after the big exhaust upgrade (other than louder)..my only response is Wow! The car pulled so much better and you can see it in the acceleration curves when i looked at the AIM data. My terminal velocity before the brake zone for turn 1 was up 5mph and there is more there- it really surged at 6k right before the braking zone and I am still working to take full advantage The car wasnt handling all that well and I couldnt fix it due to a stuck rebound adjuster in the rear so i just had to live with it. My Turn 10 apex speed was down 3-5mph as a result of the bouncy rear so once i can get the suspension sorted I think I may see +10! Even the short squirt from 1-3 was yielding +3! Im excited to see how it comes together.

Looking forward to PittRace..first new track in a while

I Know! It was like a funeral procession.

I was quite happy that the CI's decided to make those sessions parade lap speeds. Really smart. Everybody made it though in one piece.

Had a good weekend myself. Car felt great. Much closer to where the blue car was before it's demise. I was prepared for a frustrating season of constant twerking but after this weekend I'm feeling relieved.

Instructed Mi Jee which is always a hoot. She's just fun. And so is that little Miata. Congrats on the move to Blue!
