Muy, muy insurance - your liability is huge @ the Ring. I drove 5 laps in a rented street car, with the general understanding that I was very likely to buy myself a wrecked 320d if anything happened. Plus anyone else's damage if I was at fault. Plus towing, track repairs, and any down time losses for the track operator.
Damned fun, regardless.
