Default Windshield Install, attempt #2 this weekend

It looks like Sunday will be a warm dry day so I am going to attempt to install the windshield again in my 78 Targa.

We tried last fall but it was too cold by the time we got around to it and we ripped the rubber seal.

It will be in Oak Hill area of Herndon (near Centerville Rd and Lake Shore).

I plan to do it in the afternoon, but the time is not set yet. I figured I would see what everyone's availability looked like.

If anyone is interested, post here and I will send you the info.

What size cord are you using to pull the seal in? I have found that a too thin cord will cut the gasket. Something more clothes line size seems to work well for me.

I hope it goes well.

Round vacuum cleaner type cord works well too.

I have plastic coated clothes line waiting... I will also use the Sil-glyde I bought for the lifter tubes but never used.

Since it was Father's Day we bailed on the windshield Sunday. I think I am going to try for Wednesday after work as it is only supposed to be partly cloudy and in the 80s...

I am trying to get it out of my buddy's garage.
