It's a shame stuff like this still happens in the US (and usually seems to be in NYC). There are daily inspection/ certification requirements, etc. Usually we hear a few months later someone cut a corner or two (most typical), or the inspector was paid to not, well, fully inspect (rare, but still happens, especially in that neck of the woods). Lots of ink is spilled in the engineering magazines in the aftermath.

Good camera work actually focused on the action, not the typical shaky shot...add in the NY accents and curse words and you have a great video!

may not be the case this time. However, the one on 57th street (other end of block from our property) earlier in the year was.
