I'm going to drop the engine on my 914 this Saturday for basic maintenance (clean, replace vacuum and fuel lines, repaint tins, etc). I'm going to start around 1pm. The plan is to get the engine & trans out of the car, get them separated and then get the engine onto the stand. If I can get that done, with all removed parts bagged & labeled, I'll be happy. With any luck, should only take an hour or two.

I've done a few and it's very straight forward, unhook stuff, four bolts and you are done. Don't reverse those plastic fuel lines or you won't get her started again. Ask me how I know

I think we have plans Saturday evening but I'm happy to drop by four a bit in the afternoon.
