It depends on how far they've gotten with the lease paperwork for the old car... If they haven't processed anything, tell them you'll just undo the deal... If they've already done all the payoffs, the deal can't be undone- Don't give them a dime.

One other note- It's a USED car you bought- While the profit margin on a new car may be less than 10%, the profit on a USED car is more like 30-40%. Be firm, they can afford the hit.

I would not enter into any additional negotiations, in fact I would put it in writing and put a clock on it. Take the car back within 48 hours or the deal is done as agreed.
