Nice seeing you again last weekend Tom.

Good luck on your knob. No shortage of advice of what to do with it.

Come on Tom, the fun of the real 911s is learning to drive them with all of their quirkiness!

Hi Tom,
Good to see you joining us in the Dorki sandbox! Eye protection is often recommended.

There's an interesting irony that 911 is such a demanding car, as well as the phone number you call when you're in trouble.
I did try dialing 944 once on the phone, and was told the number couldn't be completed as dialed.........

After a year of Porsche ownership, I finally discovered this site!

I bought my first Porsche last year on Father's Day (didn't mean to buy it on that day - it just worked out that way!). After 15 years of Corvette ownership, I finally took the plunge. I had a 2000 C5 and a 2006 C6 - wonderful cars - but I always wanted a Porsche. When the C7 came out I looked at them very closely but after 15 years I felt it was time for a change. I almost bought a Boxster in the late 90s but I was in the Air Force back then and was worried that I might not be stationed near a Porsche dealer so I went the Chevy route instead...

I have a 2012.5 911 Carrera S (991) and have had a blast driving it this past year. I went to the PCA HPDC at Summit Point about a year ago - it was like a bucket-list experience, so much fun! I have also tried autocross this year for the very first time (have made four events so far with the fifth this upcoming weekend) as well as a couple of the drive and dines (even the PCA trip to Nemacolin). We have met some wonderful people along the way!

Happy to have a backseat now, too - I can take my kids to school hahaha! The first time my eight year old son rode in it I had the windows down, the sunroof open, and the sports exhaust activated. He said "Daddy, it sounds just like a race car!" Why yes, son, yes it does... :P

HPDC last year at Summit Point...

Bought snow tires and another set of rims...

Learning how to autocross...

Augustoberfest in Hagerstown, MD last year...

Trip to Nemacolin:
