Default 6"2" will I fit in a classic mini?

I came across a site that has Mini with Honda Vtec engines. I'm interested but I don't know even if I would fit in the car. I was actually interested in a Mini van and I don't know if they are larger.

I'm 6'2", I fit in a '58 MGA Coupe with a helmet...
The seat is an aluminum Kirkley Racing Seat flat on the floor with less than a 1/2 inch of padding, jammed against the rear bulkhead (I had a towel folded twice on the floor with the original seat removed before fitting the Kirkley).
How bad do you want to fit?

I test drove one a few years ago and fit ok, I'm ~6'3. I've seen a few with aftermarket seats and just like 911s the choice of mounting hardware is the biggest factor in headroom. I'm sure you could make it work if you are willing to look into a different seat and/or mounting solution.

Not only should you fit in an original Mini, I had two of my friends sitting in the back seat, both were about 6 feet - and there was a roll bar in place. The interior of the Mini was actually much more spacious than it looked. My 1275 Mini Cooper S is the only car I wish I had kept.

Once you're in, they are pretty comfortable...

We "adjusted" my Kirkey containment seat to get extra space in the Miata - the cage is now part of the seat, but I am comfortable and actually quite roomy at 6', 5-1.2". You can do quite a bit to fit better in a car if you're willing to change the seat (and especially if you're willing to change the new seat as we did). It will be at the July DE in case anybody wants to sit in it and see what can be done.
