[NOTE: Lesson here] I'm trying to get the video from the car in front, and will also post a bit more of this video. We were out in Blue, on my second lap. The BMW was on his first lap, on cold tires, and had gotten loose in turn 6 so I backed off. He's an E92, so I had trouble catching him between 7-8, and got too much "red mist" trying to catch him. Since his tires were cold, he braked early and hard, and I should have been ready for that and should have dropped back by then anyway. Thanks goodness I neither hit his beautiful car nor stuffed my less-beautiful car into those nice blue bushes - which you'll see (if I can get his video) I was awfully close to doing.
only an fia license holder could offer more excuses per paragraph

I managed to find an entire sessions with almost no traffic in white, I think I saw 5-6 cars the entire run (not including looking through the nascar strait)

Very fun weekend. Love love love this group of people. The garages were tons of fun.

Many thanks to all the folks who made this event run so smoothly. Tech seemed like it was UBER efficient, given the number of participants, the drivers meetings were well received, etc. CI's were, as usual, awesome (even if Dirk was subbing in). The dinner on Saturday was terrific and tons of fun. Pat's smorgasbord was, as usual, fantastic.

This weekend did really seem to be the weekend for trains. Even in Black they were nuts.

Wow, what an amazing weekend. A special thanks to all the volunteers, especially tech of course, and to all those I had the pleasure of hanging out with over the weekend. As many have said WG is a very special place and the garage really provides a great social environment.

A special thanks to BMan for taking me for a ride along in White yesterday morning. He made me realize I wasn't turning in early enough on many corners (T6, 8, 9 and 11). I applied what I learned and dropped 3+ seconds off my lap times yesterday morning. Also, a special thanks to Sloan and the SSI team for my engine rebuild and suspension setup. My car was hauling a$$ up the esses. Consistently hitting 135-138 at the T4 exit cone. Very happy the engine is running so well.

Correction. It was "best student EVER!". thelittlemrs was a pleasure to instruct and she progressed very nicely through the weekend. And just for the record those were tears of joy! Best moments of my weekend were when we got blown away on the front strait by Godzilla but then thelittlemrs almost caught up to it at the top of the esses, twice! So proud of her.
