I will be behind the wheel and on the track. Whether it will qualify as driving can be voted on at a later time...

Completed schedule changes, WILL meet at the Weis Market in Thurmont. See you there (but as I said, we usually set cruise control for about 7-8 MPH over the limit).

Last tow back from the Glen, we got 16 MPG!

My Acadia only gets 19 mpg on the highway without the trailer!

I usually get 13-14, but for some reason the Glen is special...well for LOTS of reasons the Glen is special. The Durango Hemi has variable displacement (can shut off 4 of the 8 cylinders), so I can get 22 MPG on the highway without the trailer, but 20 is more typical. Still pretty good for such a big heavy vehicle.

Our new Durango (with the Hemi) got 15.something mpg to/from MidO. Curious what the Glen will show. The new 8-speed ZF box (same as the Cayenne/Q7, oooooh) really makes towing amazing. It always seems to be in the right gear.

As a point of comparison, my old 6.5TD shitbox could only get up to about 40mph on the big Rt. 7 hill coming back to NoVA from Summit Point. With the new car, I can easily get 65mph without even trying (like still 6th gear). Haven't bothered trying to see if it'll get any faster up that hill because I don't need to.

Looking forward to this weekend! It'll be a mad dash to finish the car but I should still be able to bring it.

Ha, I struggled up that hill with my 6.5 too. It was the first indication I needed a new lift pump.

^ You know, I think mine needed more than just a lift pump! But hey -- I sold 'er fair and square and haven't heard from the poor bastard since.

I just took a look at the schedule for this weekend and admittedly I have not been to WG with PCA before, but is it normal to only have 3 sessions per day?

It has to do with the shorter track hours. At SPM we get 4 session of about 23 min but the track is hot until 6pm. At WG with the track closing at 5pm the math doesnt work for 4 unless they get really short
