Ours is the last club event on the Long Course this year. They have another race or two using the Long Course, then they will revert to only the Short Course so they can start work on The Boot. After the NASCAR race, they shut down the entire track for the rest of the year.

Sounds like they taking it very seriously and making a huge investment. Very high hopes for the result: smooth, grippy and long-lasting.

I seem to recall someone mentioning that they do not have fuel available onsite is that accurate?

Watkins Glen has high octane race fuel on site (not sure about 93 octane pump gas); there was one year when they ran out, but I would hope that was an isolated instance. Payment is via person taking your credit card vice at-the-pump, so the pumps are typically open for a few hours each day and the times are posted.
