![]() IMHO, it turned out to be a pretty good race. I enjoyed watching the Ferrari's staying in the game, especially Kimi seeming to dig deep this time. I think Vettel's falling victim to his own mind games; he should not have made that goof requiring a nose change. Hammy's definitely in the groove, but I think Nico is succumbing to mind games, too. And nice seeing Alonso almost make it into the Points. I think McLaren/Honda is struggling a bit, but they seem to be slowly improving race by race. I hope to see them scoring some points soon, and maybe even have both cars take the checker.

I've moved on to MotoGP. More interesting racing, shorter races, more competitive, better personalities.

Also enjoyed the race this weekend. This season is shaping up to be a fun one, I hope.

As long as Renault powerplants keep blowing up, Honda does have a chance for points!
More fun race than usual. Great to see Kimi on the podium. Just needed a few more laps to pass Hamilton. Nico is a great #2 driver.. Supports the team.. finishes well, but just doesn't have the killer instinct. If you are faster than your teammate, prove it on track. Don't whine on the radio. Vettel passed Weber several times and clearly established himself as team leader even when not popular to do so. Same with Hamilton and Alonso.

Monaco is usually like watching golf; great views but boring. Today's race was an exception. Verstapens wreck came on a live feed from the in car camera followed by the epic team management fail for Mercedes-Hamilton.
Great start to a Sunday! |

the race is always just ok in my book - i am no great hamilton fan but it is sad to see the luck of the draw play out like it did when he was clearly had the race under control and his car didnt let him down.
the verstappen wreck was insane - glad to see drivers walking away from wrecks like that - hell he was out of the car faster than Lewis was at the finish!

Looking back to Verstappens wreck two things to me
1) From the incar it looked like Grojean slowed way earlier than expected 2) Imagine if Jos went off 1-2 car widths further left and some how toppled the scaffolding that was holding Alonso's broken down McLaren. On the heels of the Bianchi crash last year, imagine the foolishness of having a "removed" car fall on top of a wrecked car!
