Default Good bye Dorkies!!!!

Dear friends
We will be moving to San Diego California for good hence the recent activities of selling stuff. No worries I’ll promises to join DE/Track events once I get settled.
I want to take a moment to thank everybody in this forum for supporting me in various ways. I think we have an amazing set of people in this forum and around this area so I will definitely miss you all. Special thanks to Dr.K, Otto, Martin, Irfan/Annabella, Tony (hoodpin..) and my good friend John (Denegter) for all your support, I apologies if I forgot someone here.
We are leaving in about three weeks, I still have not decided what I’ll do with my other two cars: parting with our Porsches is the hardest part of the move.

If you come to San Diego or passing by please let us know, happy to help you with anything you need.
So....Until we cross our paths again, Take care and may you find happiness and peace!!!, please practice being kind not right- it’s much harder than you think

Chamilka

I think you'll find a difference in DEs here in San Diego. One: forget about a local track (nearest is Willow Springs). Two: DE is not a favorite activity of the local club. They only use it as a stepping stone to racing. 3: Don't know what you're driving, but the ante to play (and not be a moving traffic cone) is upper level 911, GT3. 4: The group is very cliquish. And this is from a guy who moved from here (1995) and back (2003). When I got back, somehow, didn't fit in any longer. No matter. There are tons of other organizations here in SoCal that love to have you play with them. So, from a 25-year PCA member, sometimes it's best to move on. . . You will miss the camaraderie of PCA Potomac. I know I did.

Don (and Chamilka) - you can always come back and visit, you know!!

Personally, I'll be in San Diego next May (possibly before, too, but definitely May) and would love a reunion get-together.

no need to dump all your Porsches. I'm pretty sure there are roads in San Diego -- at least there were the last time I was out that way

Good luck with the move, and enjoy the great weather out there.
