I have a friend visiting near Memorial Day and I was looking forward to having him experience the open house.

I see that it is now in Sept and just a one day affair. I'm glad I got to experience it growing up in its original glory.

Around the time of the sequester, they decided to make the JSOH an every-other-year affair. Then, the next time it was supposed to happen (May 2014), it was outright canceled.

The thing this September doesn't seem to be a rescheduled JSOH; rather seems like a one-time affair.
