Default FS: 1987 944 Turbo – Meticulous Street Car

One baby is replacing another and the time has unfortunately come for me to part ways with my 951. She is in excellent condition and has been my daily driver for 4 years (owned for 7 years). Black/black '87 951 with a few tasteful, mostly under the hood sleeper mods, including the Vitesse Stage III turbo kit (turbo, MAF, MAP, DME chip, piggyback controller, etc.), Tial 38mm wastegate, Vitesse electronic boost controller, 993 Cup II wheels, Koni yellows front and rear, Powerhaus exhaust, Bluetooth-enabled HU, and a few other items. Nothing showy or cheap. Meticulously maintained by Intersport Performance here in the DC area. This car has never been tracked (much to my disappointment).

I have put a lot of work and money into making this one of the nicest 951s out there, and am sad to see her go, but it is time to move on to a more “family friendly” vehicle (to use my wife’s term). I have receipts proving $40k investment, but asking $14,900 for a quick sale with the new baby fast approaching.

Please let me know if you are interested.

Looks like a great example; sorry to see you're having to sell.

Can you provide details re: last maintenance, specifically the timing belt/water pump, etc.? Also, do you have an AFR gauge installed?

I've got the old (maybe 8 years old now) Vitesse St. 3 kit and it's been unbelievable. Phenomenal performance and reliability.

Thanks Collin. I have full maintenance records during my 7 years of ownership for anyone who is interested, but to answer the basics, timing belt/water pump done in the last 25k miles. No after-market gauges but you can monitor most of the essentials via the installed Vitesse piggyback system.

PS Looks like we're practically neighbors, I live right down the road in Oakton.

Beautiful car. How many miles does it have on it now?

Thanks, I got it with 131k miles 7 years ago and have put on 25k miles during my time of ownership, bringing us to 156k miles at present. Plenty of TLC over the years. Runs like a dream.

I hauled my newborn daughter around in an e30 M3 until only recently. My daughter left the hospital in an e30 M3. The 944 is plenty friendly.

Ha, I would kill for the comparatively luxurious backseat of an e30
