Tina and I are both heading up to SP today for this weekend's HDPE on Extended Jefferson. Anybody else going?

I will be there with my 993 Sat and Sunday. Not many P cars at this event but it is the BMW club after all.
I really like their events, particularly the track exercises. Last year I learned a ton from leap frog passing drills and (intentionally) off line laps. This will be my first event at extended Jeff. I am having a hard time finding good video of that track. This is the best one I have found but that car is so different than mine that I don't think I would use his line. Anyone have better video with a good line that I can soak up before hitting the track? EDIT: This video shows an awful line. Do not follow. Roundel's video is a much better line reference. [/QUOTE]

I found videos from BSR and one by Roundel1000 (?). Amazing how patched up the brand new track is. I'll be parking in the shadow of Tina's M5. See you there!

No experience on the extended portion so I have no basis for opinion on it. However, the longer back straight will result in higher speeds on the original portion. Note that there are lots of trees and they are really close to the track. I question the suitability of the extended Jefferson as a DE circuit (safety) and an HPDC circuit (extended portion is not necessary). I must be getting old...TR, is there room on the bus to curmudgeonville?
Have fun, but be careful.

Too bad the windshield is dirty, but here the NCC Jeff school from last fall on the extended circuit. I'll be there this weekend too.

I'll be there tomorrow for the first time. I thought it was weird spending all that time at Summit, and never having been on Jefferson. The late passing and off-line excercises we did with bmwcca last year helped me adjust to the open passing run group this year. Should be fun!

Thanks. I took a quick peek at the formula car video you posted. The 1st lap at least he was wrong everywhere IMO.
