In addition to the clean-up advice above, I suggest having the material tested for future knowledge. No reason to stress if you don't need to.
I used Lab/Cor Portland (at Roundel's recommendation) a month or so ago to test some ceiling material before I demo (it was negative). Cost wasn't much ($50) and fast turn-around.

Asbestos testing is done out of the Portland location.

x100. We use them for asbestos and lead testing.

Good morning everyone,

Vicegrip you called it.

I just got off the telephone with the senior guy that did the install. I explained my concern and he said:

"I don't know what I'm dealing with when I go into houses and encounter tiles so I never break them. I use a scraper to pop off the whole tile. Most have been there so long they come right off. These younger guys on the crew want to use a hammer to smash up the tiles and I tell them they are putting everyone's health at risk. I just pop them off with a scraper and take them away."

So a night of major pucker factor was for naught. Thank you everyone for your replies and assurances. I've never so looked forward to cleaning up construction dust and debris.

Well technically you won't know for sure for about 20-30 years...
