Wow indeed. That appears to be an interesting suspension concept. So basically the spring allows the body to move up & down, while control arm's movement is limited to whatever travel is allowed by flex in the tie rod.

Were both sides the same?

Makes it stable under braking. Front end compresses and dampens steering inputs and feedbacks to 0.

That's funny. Actually would limit nosedive, add steering friction, while toeing in at the same time. Active suspension...who needs it!

Yep, Both sides were the same and the thing is the ends of the sway bar would bind against the bottom of the strut too. Had a helluva time getting this apart so it had to be a bear getting it in there.
