Just recently purchased an '84 Euro 911, and curious to see what your all think the value is (market value, not what you would pay for it) as there are not many to compare with. Here are the details
-Late 84 (85 in the US) German market 3.2 Carrera -Black on black -76k original miles, extremely good mechanically -Was a one owner since new until me -High end repaint at some point that is hardly noticeable, otherwise all original -Factory 16" 7s and 8s -Factory tail -Factory sport suspension, diff and seats -Exterior is an 8 out of 10. Not going to win a show, but excellent for a driver -Interior has warped dash top, door pockets and rear shelf. Front seat leather is worn out. Otherwise the interior is in very good shape Thoughts?

i would agree with around $25K, but not much more since it still is a 915 gear box

Lots of people are paying 6 figures for cars with those 915 gearboxes, so I wouldn't be too sure anymore.

I agree, but for the 70s year model not the late 80. At least for what i know.
In the 3.2 eerie there are the 915 and G50, and the G50 are moving much faster up in price when the early one tend to remain affordable. I mean the 3.2 i Carrera from 84 to 89. As per Excellence buyer guide those would be between 20K and 30K

Euro car - anything "quirky" like manual windows? no sunroof? still original euro motor (231hp)?
How's that 30 year old suspension? still OEM components? replaced? imho, given its age, the fact that it is "euro" may neither help nor hurt value. Condition is primary concern. As you may have seen with longhoods, values are only temporary, so pegging a number is hard. Sharing a few pics of a new acquisition seem a requirement, don't they? Since you will only be driving it and enjoying it, the only reason to worry about market value is for insurance purposes only.. Sounds like $25Kish.

yeah but really… how much is it to just refresh sups to 'sport' mode… 915's are great and the euro model thing will keep it up there

x2. but also depends on the patina. can develop some good patina in 30 years, both inside and out. it's not like you can just buy a can of patina and spray it on. it takes time.

[/QUOTE] Some people are recognizing that the 915 is lighter and WAY cheaper to rebuild. Retaining the classic feel of the previous decades of 911s has some charm too IMO. Personally, I'd rather have a 915. The rub it with a diaper crowd still prefers the G50.
