This is a real tragedy, made worse by the knowledge that it was 100% preventable.

But Martin, that was damn funny.

I'm not sure that I even understand my logic, but somehow to me this makes racing seem even safer. It just does.

Aerobatic flight at low level is extremely dangerous. Driving motorcycles at 200mph on 95S in the mixing bowl pales in comparison.

200 on bikes will get you killed a whole lot quicker than low level aerobatics that are properly orchestrated and practiced!!, not an off the wall unrehearsed showing off to buddies!!

Point being, dynamic flying is more dangerous than driving and jackassery has no business being in an airplane...

out of control egos .... and bad luck ..... it's just a matter of time before someone pays for them. I took a CC class awhile back....the instructor was making a glass half empty remark to change a students perspective.... " with that thinking the only reason you are still alive is that you haven't been at the wrong place at the wrong time".

This. Who has not walked away from an unexpected or unwanted outcome and not thought about the fact that as bad as it turned you were alive and walking.

Living well does not mean simply living long. It means living an enriched life. The line between fun and stupid is a bit fuzzy at times Other times it is quite clear that poor planning and execution produced a predictable outcome.

In this case a guy with everything ended up being consumed by it.
